About Apache:
Hi! My name is Apache Brave and I am a miniature horse. I live in a small town in East Texas. I am only 29 inches tall. My favorite treats are carrots and donut holes. My daddy gives me treats every day if I am good. I have been known to eat a twinkie or too as well. You don't happen to have a twinkie on you, do you?
I am a little afraid around new people. It is hard for me to trust anyone. However, I do trust my daddy. If you approach me slowly, you may pet me. Just don't sneak up on me, because that really scares me! I like to have my head scratched.
Miniature Horses Make Great Pets:
Miniature horses make good pets because of their gentle, affectionate nature and small size. They are an excellent companion and are ideal pets for young children, adults, senior citizens and the disabled. A small child may be intimidated by a large horse, yet that same child will show an eagerness to embrace and hug a Miniature foal. Foals are particularly lovable due to their small size, ranging from 16 to 21 inches in height at birth.
Disabled people have found the Miniature horse an excellent substitute for the full-size horse they may not be able to physically handle.
Because our small size prohibits children to ride them, many people wonder what you can do with a Miniature horse. Although many people enjoy Miniatures as pets, many owners show their horses at more than 500 horse shows nationwide.
In addition, driving the Miniature horse has become a very popular way owners are enjoying their Miniature horses.
